Terry Sicular
Terry Sicular is a Professor of Economics at the University of Western Ontario, specializing in the Chinese economy, development economics, and inequality. Professor Sicular has held numerous academic positions internationally, including Visiting Scholar at Harvard University, Invited Professor at the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, and Honorary Guest Professor at Beijing Normal University. She has also been associated with the Lieberthal-Rogel Center for Chinese Studies at the University of Michigan and served as a Senior Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation.
She is the editor or co-editor of several influential books on China’s income distribution and economic policy, including Changing Trends in China’s Inequality (Oxford University Press, 2020), Rising Inequality in China: Challenges to a Harmonious Society (Cambridge University Press, 2013), and Food Price Policy in Asia: A Comparative Study (Cornell University Press, 1989).
Professor Sicular holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University and has contributed extensively to research on economic development, social policy, and inequality in China.
